What you need
Your system has to send its data to VRM through a GX device, like a Cerbo GX. If you can see it at vrm.victronenergy.com or in the VRM app, you're set.
You sign in with your VRM email and password, or with an access token you make in VRM. If your account asks for a code as well as the password, use the token. If your installer set up the account, ask them for access. Read-only is enough.
A system with just a battery bank and no panels won't show up in Cenit.
How to connect it
- Download Cenit and open it. You can look around with example data first if you like.
- Tap Connect my inverter and pick Victron from the list.
- Type your VRM email and password, or switch to access token and paste it in. You make the token in VRM under Preferences, Integrations, Access tokens.
- If your login sees several systems, Cenit asks which one to open. The rest are under All plants.
- That's it. Cenit pulls in the total for each day of roughly the last year, then the curves for the last 90 days.
Victron didn't accept your details? Sign in at vrm.victronenergy.com in a browser. If it asks you for a code there, use a token.
What you see from your Victron
What the panels save you
Tell it what you pay per kWh and what you get for power you send to the grid, and it works out about how much the panels saved you this month and this year, in your own currency. In the US it can fill in your state's average price. In Mexico you get your margin before CFE's DAC tariff instead, as long as the system is tied to the grid.
What it's making now and today
The watts right now and today's kWh. It's the same solar number VRM shows, with your MPPT chargers and any AC-coupled PV inverter added together. While the app is open Cenit checks every five minutes.
Today against your best days
Drag your finger along today's curve to see what the panels were making at any moment. The dashed line behind it is the most they made at that time of day over the last 14 days. A sunny day that comes in under it means something changed.
Widgets and alerts
Today's numbers on your home screen, and a heads-up when your clear days come in lower than usual or the system stops reporting while the sun is up.
What you don't see
Cenit only reads the solar side. It doesn't show battery state of charge, your home's consumption or the generator. You don't see each panel either, because Victron reports the total for the whole system.
Cenit and VRM
VRM is Victron's portal, with its own app. VictronConnect sets up your devices over Bluetooth. Cenit doesn't replace either one.
What you still use VRM and VictronConnect for
Your battery, your loads, alarm details, the remote console, device settings and firmware. Cenit only reads and doesn't change anything on your equipment.
What Cenit adds
A simple screen for today, your curve against your best 14 days, a savings number and widgets. Your history stays on your phone, so you see it even when VRM doesn't answer. And a home with another brand fits in the same app.
What it costs
For your home, nothing. Cenit is free for up to 3 plants, so a home never pays. There are no ads.
Installers with more systems on VRM pay once or by the month, by how many plants. 4 to 10 plants is 9.99 USD once or 0.99 USD a month. 11 to 49 is 39.99 USD once or 3.99 USD a month. 50 or more is 74.99 USD once or 7.99 USD a month. Paying once is for good. The first month after the app first sees more than 3 plants, every one of them is open.

Is there an app besides VRM to see my Victron system on iPhone?
Yes. Cenit signs in with your VRM login or an access token and shows what your panels are making, your history and your savings. It's free for a home.
Does Cenit show my Victron battery?
No. Cenit only shows what your panels are making. Battery state of charge, your home's consumption and alarm details stay in VRM.
My system is off grid. Is Cenit any use?
Yes, for your production, today's curve and your history. The savings screen assumes you'd otherwise buy that power from the grid, so off grid it's only a rough guide.
Is it safe to give Cenit my VRM login?
If you'd rather not hand over your password, use an access token. Delete it in VRM whenever you like and it stops working. Whatever you enter is kept in the iOS Keychain and only goes to Victron's server. The details are in the privacy policy.
Is Cenit made by Victron?
No. Cenit is an independent app by Hrvoje Matošić, made in Mexico, and isn't affiliated with Victron Energy. Victron publishes and documents the VRM API, and that's what Cenit uses. That makes this connection steadier than it is with brands that don't have one.
