Download on the App StoreCenit isn't made by Solis or Ginlong. It's an independent app that signs in to the same cloud as soliscloud.com with your own login and keeps what it reads on your phone. You don't make an account with me.
What you need
Your SolisCloud email and password. It's the same account as the app and as soliscloud.com in a browser. Your installer often set it up when they connected the datalogger, so ask them if you don't have it.
You don't need a Solis API key. Solis only hands those out through a support ticket. Cenit doesn't use one. It signs in with your email and password, the same way the SolisCloud website does.
Your plant has to show up in SolisCloud already. If there's no data there, Cenit won't see any either.
How to connect it
- Download Cenit and open it. You can look around with example data first if you like.
- Tap Connect my inverter and pick Solis from the list.
- Type your SolisCloud email and password, and tap Connect.
- If your login has several plants, Cenit asks which one to open. The rest are under Plants.
- That's it. Cenit pulls in the total for each day of roughly the last year, then the curves for the last 90 days.
Does it say Solis didn't accept the email or password? Try signing in at soliscloud.com in a browser. If it works there, it works in Cenit. If SolisCloud asks for a code by email or text, sign in once at soliscloud.com and then connect again in Cenit.
What you see from your Solis
What the panels save you
Tell it what you pay per kWh and what you get for power you send to the grid, and it works out about how much the panels saved you this month and this year, in your own currency. In the US it can fill in your state's average price. In Mexico you get your margin before CFE's DAC tariff instead.
What it's making now and today
The watts right now and today's kWh, the same numbers your plant opens with in SolisCloud. The datalogger uploads every five minutes, and while the app is open Cenit checks every five minutes.
Today against your best days
Drag your finger along today's curve to see what the plant was making at any moment. The dashed line behind it is the most it made at that time of day over the last 14 days. A sunny day that comes in under it means something changed.
Widgets and alerts
Today's numbers on your home screen, and a heads-up when the inverter stops reporting while the sun is up.
What you don't see
Solis reports the total for the whole plant, not each panel. A string inverter has no way to split it. So Cenit can tell you production dropped, but not which panel. To know if it's dust, shade or a fault, wash the panels and see if it comes back.
You don't see a Solis hybrid's battery either, or what the house is using right now.
Cenit and SolisCloud
SolisCloud is Solis' own app, and some things only happen there. Cenit doesn't replace it for those.
What you still use SolisCloud for
Setting up the datalogger's Wi-Fi, adding an inverter to your account, checking a hybrid's battery, or changing inverter settings. Cenit only reads. It doesn't change anything on your equipment.
What Cenit adds
A simple screen for today, a savings number, your curve against your best 14 days and widgets. Your history stays on your phone, so you can see it even when SolisCloud won't load.
If you're an installer

What it costs
For your home, nothing. Cenit is free for up to 3 plants, so a home never pays. And it has no ads.
If you're an installer watching more plants, you pay by how many, once or by the month. 4 to 10 plants is 9.99 USD once or 0.99 USD a month. 11 to 49 is 39.99 USD or 3.99 USD a month. 50 or more is 74.99 USD or 7.99 USD a month. Paying once is for good. The first month after the app first sees more than 3 plants, every plant is open.
Questions
Is there an app besides SolisCloud to see my Solis inverter on iPhone?
Yes. Cenit signs in with your SolisCloud email and password and shows what your panels save you, what the plant is making and your history. It's free for a home.
SolisCloud won't load. Will Cenit help?
It depends on what's wrong. Cenit reads the same Solis cloud, so if their server is down it won't get new data either. But your history is still on your phone, and if it's the app itself that's stuck, Cenit is another way to see your numbers.
How do I get a SolisCloud API key?
Solis only hands out API keys through a support ticket. You don't need one for Cenit. Your SolisCloud email and password are enough.
Is it safe to give Cenit my SolisCloud password?
Cenit doesn't keep your password as typed. It keeps your email and a fingerprint of the password in the iOS Keychain, and none of it goes through a server of mine. Your readings stay on your phone. The details are in the privacy policy.
Is Cenit made by Solis?
No. Cenit is an independent app by Hrvoje Matošić, made in Mexico, and isn't connected with Solis or Ginlong. It talks to the same server as soliscloud.com. If Solis changes something on their side, the connection can stop working for a while.
