See your Solarman inverter on your iPhone

What you need
An inverter whose logger reports to Solarman, like many Deye and Sofar inverters. If your plant shows up in the SOLARMAN Smart app, you're set.
Your SOLARMAN Smart email and password. If your installer set up the account, ask them for it. Cenit signs in with the email, not a phone number.
How to connect it
- Download Cenit and open it. You can look around with example data first if you like.
- Tap Connect my inverter and pick Solarman from the list.
- Type your SOLARMAN email and password, and tap Connect.
- If your login has several plants, Cenit asks which one to open. The rest are under All plants.
- That's it. Cenit pulls in the total for each day of roughly the last year, then the curves for the last 90 days.
Solarman didn't accept the email or password? Try signing in at home.solarmanpv.com with the same email. The Solarman connection is new, so if it works there and not in Cenit, write to me at privacidad@hrvojematosic.com and I'll look into it.
What you see from your plant
What the panels save you
Tell it what you pay per kWh and what you get for power you send to the grid, and it works out about how much the panels saved you this month and this year, in your own currency. In the US it can fill in your state's average price. In Mexico you get your margin before CFE's DAC tariff instead.
What it's making now and today
The watts right now and today's kWh, the same numbers Solarman shows. While the app is open, Cenit checks every five minutes.
Today against your best days
Drag your finger along today's curve to see what the plant was making at any moment. The dashed line behind it is the most it made at that time of day over the last 14 days. A sunny day that comes in under it means something changed.
Widgets and alerts
Today's numbers on your home screen, and a heads-up when your clear days come in lower than usual.
What you don't see
Solarman reports the total for the whole plant, not each panel. Cenit can tell you production dropped, but not which panel. And on a hybrid Deye it reads what the panels produce, not the battery or the home's use.
Cenit and SOLARMAN Smart
SOLARMAN Smart is Solarman's own app, and some things only happen there. Cenit doesn't replace it for those.
What you still use SOLARMAN Smart for
Setting up the logger's Wi-Fi, adding a plant, checking a hybrid's battery, or changing settings. Cenit only reads. It doesn't change anything on your equipment.
What Cenit adds
A simple screen for today, your curve against your best 14 days, a savings number and widgets.
If you're an installer
If your Solarman email sees your customers' plants, Cenit puts them all under All plants. With a SOLARMAN Business account you see the plants tied to that email, which may not be your whole organization. More on the installers page.
What it costs
For your home, nothing. Cenit is free for up to 3 plants and has no ads.
If you're an installer watching more plants, you pay by how many, once or by the month. 4 to 10 plants is 9.99 USD once or 0.99 USD a month. 11 to 49 is 39.99 USD or 3.99 USD a month. 50 or more is 74.99 USD or 7.99 USD a month. Paying once is for good. And for the first month after Cenit sees more than 3 plants, every plant is open.
Questions
Is there an app besides SOLARMAN Smart to see my Deye inverter on iPhone?
Yes. Cenit signs in with your SOLARMAN Smart email and password and shows what your plant is making, your history and your savings. It works the same with Sofar and other inverters whose logger reports to Solarman. It's free for a home.
SOLARMAN Smart won't load. Will Cenit help?
It depends on what's wrong. Cenit reads the same Solarman cloud, so if their server is down it won't get new data either, but your history is still on your phone. If the logger lost its Wi-Fi, no app will see new data until you reconnect it in SOLARMAN Smart. If the app itself is slow or stuck, Cenit is another way to see your numbers.
Can I see each panel or my battery?
No. Solarman reports the total for the whole plant, not each panel. And on a hybrid inverter Cenit reads what the panels produce, not the battery's charge or the home's use. You still see those in SOLARMAN Smart.
Is it safe to give Cenit my Solarman password?
Cenit doesn't keep your password, only a SHA-256 hash of it in the iOS Keychain. That's all Solarman asks for, and it only goes to their server. Your readings stay on your phone, and you don't make an account with Cenit. The details are in the privacy policy.
Is Cenit made by Solarman or Deye?
No. Cenit is an independent app by Hrvoje Matošić, made in Mexico, and isn't connected with Solarman, Deye, Sofar or any inverter brand. Solarman only gives its API to companies that apply for it, so Cenit talks to the same server as the SOLARMAN Smart app. If Solarman changes something on their side, the connection can stop working for a while.
