What you need
Your Solar.web email and password. It's the same account as solarweb.com and the Solar.web app. If your installer set it up and you don't have it, ask them.
Your inverter has to show up in Solar.web already, through its datalogger. If there's no data there, Cenit won't see any either. It works with Symo, Primo and GEN24 inverters.
You don't need the paid Solar.web API or any key. And you can check from anywhere, because Cenit reads Solar.web, not the inverter.
How to connect it
- Download Cenit and open it. You can look around with example data first if you like.
- Tap Connect my inverter and pick Fronius from the list.
- Type your Solar.web email and password, and tap Connect.
- If your login has several plants, Cenit asks which one to open. The rest are under Plants.
- That's it. Cenit pulls in the total for each day of roughly the last year, then the curves for the last 90 days.
Does it say Fronius didn't accept the email or password? Try signing in at solarweb.com in a browser. If it works there, it works in Cenit.
What you see from your Fronius
What the panels save you
Tell it what you pay per kWh and what you get for power you send to the grid, and it works out about how much the panels saved you this month and this year, in your own currency. In the US it can fill in your state's average price. In Mexico you get your margin before CFE's DAC tariff instead.
What it's making now and today
The watts right now and today's kWh, the same numbers Solar.web shows. If you have several inverters, you see the total. The datalogger uploads every few minutes, and while the app is open Cenit checks every five minutes.
Today against your best days
Drag your finger along today's curve to see what the plant was making at any moment. The dashed line behind it is the most it made at that time of day over the last 14 days. A sunny day that comes in under it means something changed.
Every plant on your installer login
If you install Fronius and your Solar.web account carries your clients' plants, they all come in under Plants, with what each has made today and which ones stopped reporting. I tested it on a real account with 19 plants. See what Cenit does for installers.

Today's numbers on your home screen, and a heads-up when the inverter stops reporting while the sun is up.
What you don't see
Solar.web reports the total for the whole plant, not each panel. So Cenit can tell you production dropped, but not which panel.
You also don't see your battery or your home's consumption. Cenit only takes production, and I haven't tried it on a real plant with a battery yet.
Cenit and Solar.web
Solar.web is Fronius' own platform, and it does things Cenit doesn't.
What you still use Solar.web for
Seeing your battery and your home's consumption, and anything to do with your account and your equipment. Cenit only reads and changes nothing.
What Cenit adds
A simple screen for today, your curve against your best 14 days, a savings number and widgets. Your history stays on your phone, so you can see it even when Solar.web doesn't answer. And if another home runs a different brand, it fits in the same app.
What it costs
For your home, nothing. Cenit is free for up to 3 plants and has no ads.
If you're an installer watching more plants, you pay by how many, once or by the month. 4 to 10 plants is 9.99 USD once or 0.99 USD a month. 11 to 49 is 39.99 USD or 3.99 USD a month. 50 or more is 74.99 USD or 7.99 USD a month. Paying once is for good. The first month after Cenit sees more than 3 plants, every plant is open.
Questions
Is there an app besides Solar.web to see my Fronius inverter on iPhone?
Yes. Cenit signs in with your Solar.web email and password and shows what your plant is making, what it saves you and your history. It's free for a home.
Solar.web won't load. Will Cenit help?
It depends on what's wrong. Cenit reads the same Solar.web, so if their server is down it won't get new data either, but your history is still on your phone. If the datalogger lost its Wi-Fi, no app will see new data until you reconnect it. If the app itself is slow or stuck, Cenit is another way to see your numbers.
Can I see each panel with Fronius?
No. Solar.web reports the total for the whole plant. For a panel-by-panel view you need microinverters that report it, like NEP, Hoymiles or APsystems.
Is it safe to give Cenit my Solar.web password?
Your password is kept in the iOS Keychain and only goes to Fronius' servers. Your readings stay on your phone, and you don't make an account with Cenit. The details are in the privacy policy.
Is Cenit made by Fronius?
No. Cenit is an independent app by Hrvoje Matošić, made in Mexico, and isn't connected with Fronius. It talks to the same site you open in a browser, so if Fronius changes something, the connection can stop working for a while.
